What is IGCSE Additional Maths?

An extra maths qualification taken alongside (or after) IGCSE Maths by students who find maths straightforward. Cambridge's version is Additional Mathematics (0606); Pearson Edexcel's is Further Pure Mathematics (4PM1).

Is Cambridge 0606 the same as Edexcel 4PM1?

No. They cover similar ground but differ: 0606 has a non-calculator paper and includes functions, circles, permutations and combinations; 4PM1 allows a calculator in both papers and includes the sum and product of roots, the addition formulae and volumes of revolution. Check which one your school enters you for.
