IGCSE Maths results day: what next?
Whatever your grade, there is a next step. This page sets out the options in plain English and links the board’s own pages for anything official. We do not show results dates, fees or deadlines unless we have checked them on the board’s site.
First steps
Talk to your exams officer first, and early. They know how and by when to ask your board about a re-mark.
When is results day?
UK GCSE results day 2027 is Thursday 19 August 2027. International GCSE results dates are set by Pearson and Cambridge, so check yours with your school. Source: JCQ key dates. See exam dates for every date we have checked.
A mark looks wrong: re-marks
If you were close to a grade boundary, or one paper looks far below your others, ask whether a re-mark is worth it. Marks can go down as well as up. Fees and deadlines are set by the board and change, so read them on the board’s own pages:
Resits
Edexcel 4MA1 has a November 2026 and a June 2027 series, and Cambridge 0580 a November 2026 series, all with confirmed dates on our exam dates page. Cambridge had not published its June 2027 timetable when we last checked.
Plan a resit like a fresh start: go through your mistakes, then follow a mock plan from the exam season page.
